Nick Jonas and PXG Reveal New Golf Apparel Collaboration

The 30-year-old singer and self-described "golf nut" puts a modern spin on golf apparel.

NICK JONAS isn't a professional golfer—he wants to make that very clear. But he is an active amateur. In fact, he hits the links when he's on tour to relax and get some fresh air.

"The thing I love about the game is I know I’ll never master it," Jonas tells Men's Health. No matter where he is in the world or what he's working on, Jonas always finds time to hit the green with some friends and work on his swing, which he says will always be a work in progress.

Although Jonas is still a student in the game of golf, some would say he's mastered the art of personal style. In 2018, he partnered with menswear designer John Varvatos on a clothing capsule collection. Now, he's turning his attention to performance wear with the launch of a new apparel line in collaboration with PXG.

The 24-piece collection is the first of its kind for PXG. Best known for its high-end golf clubs, PXG Apparel was only launched in 2018 and this is the brand's first-ever apparel collaboration. Founders Bob and Renee Parsons saw an opportunity to partner with Jonas to deliver a collection that married true style and performance.

"[Bob and I] love how [golf] brings us together with others who share our passion," Renee says." Just like Bob and me, Nick was frustrated with trying to find the fits and performance features that stylish players are looking for."

Jonas confirms the "golf nut" label. Jonas brought that attention to detail and love of the game to the PXG x NJ Capsule Collection, which he says adds a modern twist on the classic golf attire.

"[The collection] is a combination of my love for the functionality of golf apparel but with really classic silhouettes," he says. "For instance, I love the pleated pants but with that kind of modern edge of the jogger at the bottom."

The capsule drop is chockfull of hats, bags, socks, and slides that look great on and off the course. The golf shirts are available in two different styles, comfort or athletic, depending on your build and body type.

According to Jonas, the pieces are made to layer—for warmth, for style or both. "That was a really intentional part of this design," he says. "So whether it's the performance shirts and polos, or the jackets and different layering pieces, they all work in coordination with each other, and make individual and vibrant statements, which is what we set out to do."

Each piece is infused with Jonas' unique and bold style, while also being incredibly functional and technical. The standout pieces from the line include a pair of see-through slides with golf spikes on the base and a mockneck sweater, which you don't see very often at the country club.

"It was so fun to look at this from a design perspective, but also as a fan of the game," he says. "And, obviously, not as a professional golfer, but someone that just truly loves the game and wanted to combine my love for fashion and golf with this with this collab."

The PXG x NJ Capsule Collection will be available on November 15, 2022 at PXG.com and in PXG stores. Men's Health got early access to view and try the collection ahead of launch. Here's a look at some of our favorite pieces from the drop.
